We are delighted to be featured in the Wednesday Wine column by esteemed journalist Matthew Jukes.
This is a very poignant and beautifully written piece. Matthew was a great friend of Hilary’s and I can’t think of anyone else in the trade who could have penned such an accurate account of my great mentor with whom I worked with for almost a decade.
He has also chosen two wonderful wines from our portfolio: a mineral, rich and racy Bourgogne Côtes d’Auxerre from the tremendous Domaine Jean-Hugues et Guilhem Goisot (located a stone’s throw from Chablis and with everything in common with its more famous neighbour) and a simply gorgeous, bright, silky red from Anne Gros & Jean Paul Tollot’s Minervois operation.
Both of these wines can be purchased direct from Emile Wines (minimum order 12 bottles) but we can also put you in touch with our stockists who list these wines.
