Galanthus Nivalis 2017, Claire Naudin
Region: Hautes Côtes, Burgundy
Grape/s: 100% Pinot Gouges (the mutated Pinot Noir variant of Pinot Blanc, discovered by Henri Gouges in 1936 in Clos des Porrets)
Production: Lutte raisonnée, hand harvested, natural yeasts, low sulphur, unfined & unfiltered
Intense notes of lime blossom, pink grapefruit, crème pâtissière, salt. Very Burgundian yet utterly unique at the same time. Phenomenal with so much poise.
This really needs a good 2 hour decant – be patient and you will be rewarded, just sublime!
